The Scream

In modern times the levels of anxiety are unprecedented. People on developed countries exist in a relatively peaceful state, with minimal troubles when it comes to the food shortages, diseases, wars. However, thanks to the social media and Internet we are also constantly exposed to the troubles of the world, gun violence, drug overdoses, divorce problems of the rich and famous, terrorist attacks in places near and far - it all became part of our morning coffee rituals.
Inspired by the famous painting by Edvard Munch, The Scream, this sculpture is a response to the total informational and emotional overload. This is “a scream passing through the nature” that is captured at an instant of total exhaustion and despair.
